Hectic weekend for meath driver

Tara racing driver Barry Rabbitt is set for a busy weekend at the biggest race meeting of the year which is held at Mondello Park this coming weekend.

The Meath driver will be competing in six races in three very different cars over the two-day Leinster Trophy event.

His main focus will be on securing the 2015 Fiesta Zetec championship, which he leads after a dominant season as team driver for Blackchurch Motors, he will also take to the track in his own Formula Renault single seater to compete for the €2,000 prizefund in the BCMG BOSS Ireland Races.

Rabbitt has been recruited by Baker Automotive in Santry to guest drive their Stryker car for the prestigious race meeting.

'I'm very fortunate and grateful to have these opportunities, but as well as the physical challenges it will be tough jumping into such drastically different cars with massive differences in performance and dynamics, but I'm relishing the challenge' commented Rabbit.

The Meath driver is also lead contender for the coveted Hawthorn Trophy which is awarded to the most successful race driver of the year across all classes.
