Dunboyne syndicate celebrating again
The members of the Mulvaney's Bar Syndicate from Dunboyne were celebrating again today, scarcely a fortnight after a memorable Fairyhouse New Year's Day success, when Mydor won a three-mile handicap hurdle at Leopardstown.
The Tony Martin-trained gelding was following up on that 1st January victory at Fairyhouse on New Year's Day and had Ruby Walsh on board
Despite a slight mistake at the last, Mydor won convincingly
'He's owned by a great bunch of lads who are all from Dunboyne and I'm delighted for them,' commented the trainer.
Members of the syndicate include Brendan Mulvaney, Des McCaffrey, Noel Leonard, Anthony Lynch, Joe Reilly, Philip Reilly, Ray Mitchell, Tom Tone and Kit Toole.
Red and black (racing colours) scarves were waved in the parade ring as Mydor returned to yet another noisy welcome.
