Local hunts point to point at tattersalls on sunday

This Sunday, October 26th will see the first of the Autumn Point to Points return to Tattersalls Ireland. The Meath and Tara Hunts hold their annual Tattersalls Ireland fixture on Sunday with the first race starting at 1pm. Highlight of the day is the exciting Cross Country race run over three miles where participants will have to overcome twenty-four obstacles. Tattersalls Ireland has established a burgeoning reputation with its point to point track particularly with the recent introduction of the Cross Country races which have been welcomed by trainers and jockeys alike.

Leading trainers, Gordon Elliott, Colin Bowe, Donnchadh Doyle and Stuart Crawford all hold entries at the fixture where six races will feature on the card.

Tattersalls Ireland also plays host to the Louth Hunt Point to Point on Sunday 7th December. This fixture always proves to be competitive producing potentially top class racehorses. Last year’s winners include Tell Us More, now a Bumper winner for Willie Mullins and Gigginstown House Stud and dual Novice Hurdle winner Capote for Jonjo O’Neill and Trevor Hemmings.
