Local racing enthusiasts will be heading for the traditional New Year's Day action at Fairyhosue tomorrow where the action is sechduled to start at 12.10pm with a maiden hurdle. Admission is €15 with usual concessions.

According to information from Fairyhouse there are some 'great value deals' that include admission, racecard and a three-course meal in the Bobbyjo restautant for  €45 (includes reserved table for the day) - contact (01) 8256167 for more details.

 

The going is expected to be soft to heavy, heavy in places.

The weather forecast remains unsettled with showers, some heavy, for the rest of today and tomorrow.

At the moment there are 83 runners declared in a competitive seven-race card.
