Lyons on the Mark

Ger Lyons tweeted yesterday from Meydan after Lily's Angel won that Machete Mark was his best option at Dundalk last night and Ger is never wrong?

Machete Mark (8/11) duly won for Emmet McNamara and also boosted the Meath Chronicle betting fund despite the restrictive odds.

There were other Meath winners at the Louth track also last night.

Tom McCourt won the opening race with Inishmot Duchess while young Trim apprencice Colin Keane added another winner to his tally.

Keane won a tight finish with Core Element (nose) for trainer Shane Buggy.

Trainer Joanna Morgan saw her Balmont Flyer defy the handicapper (raised eight pounds for a win last week) to win a handicap for jockey Pat Smullen.
