Meath return to winning ways

Meath 0-13 Laois 1-9

Meath maintained their unbeaten run under the lights of Pairc Tailteann in 2010 with a narrow NFL Div 2 victory over Laois this evening.

The concession of a scrappy goal after 25 minutes ensured Meath trailed by 0-7 to 1-5 at the break. However, after the resumption a sublime sideline kick from Joe Sheridan put Meath ahead.

Laois had MJ Tierney sent-off for a second yellow card with five minutes remaining.
