Perth winner for Cromwell and Fox

It wasn't exactly up to the Punchestown Festival standard but Meath trainer Gavin Cromwell won't mind as he  was on the mark today in Scotland.

Cromwell had two runners in Perth today with a winner and a second and he has two more at the Scottish track tomorrow.

Today there was win with the Anthony Fox-partnered Le Braye which was returned at 9/1 in an amateur handicap hurdle.

The winning jockey is from Ardcath and is a twin brother of Irish Grand National-winning jockey Ger Fox.

The other Cromwell runner finished second when As De Pique was second in a handicap chase for jockey Brien Kane.

Kane will be action tomorrow at Perth on the Cromwell-trained Classical Rose in a novice hurdle while he will also partner 
Highland Fling over the bigger obstacles.
