Fairyhouse action abandoned for Tuesday

The racing action scheduled for Fairyhouse today will not take place and the card has been abandoned.

The decision was made earlier this morning after heavy overnight rain since yesterday's thrilling Grand National Day.

Official carried out an inspection of the course this morning and the desicion was made not to race.

The going was heavy at Fairyhouse yesterday for the Boylesports Irish Grand National and only eight of the 30 runners  finished the feature that was won by the Gordon Elliott-trained General Principle..

The feature race today was the €100,000 RYBO Handicap Hurdle.

Yesterday's attendance at Fairyhouse was 10,722.
