Seven up has Keane fizzing

Two for Trim man Colin Keane and zero for defending champion Pat Smullen at Dundalk last night left the stats reading 94-87 in the race for the 2017 flat jockeys' title.

Noel Meade's Art Of Unity and the Prunella Dobbs-trained Carried gave Keane the ammunition for his double.

The action moves to Leopardstown today where Keane has a clear run as Smullen is suspended,

Another winner or two would put Keane into a strong position to land his first title after taking the champion apprentice crown in 2014.
The 2017 flat racing season will conclude at Naas on Sunday 5th November  and the day will be marked by presentations to the champion owner, trainer, jockey and apprentice.

Keane is now in a strong position, but the race is not over just yet.
