Gowran double for Keane and Lyons

Trim jockey Colin Keane moved three clear (84-81) of defending champion Pat Smullen in the race for the jockeys' title with a double at Gowran Park yesterday.

Keane completed a double for his boss Ger Lyons when he wason the mark with Inscribe and World War.

Smullen had six rides at the Kilkenny venue, but was out of luck on this occasion with two second places on the day.

There was a rare wiiner on the flat for Robbie Colgan on board the Sheila Lavery-trained Laid Back Luke in the concluding race, a one-mile six-furlong handicap.

Laid Back Luke finished third on the flat at the KIlkenny track last month, but previously  won a novice chase at Fairyhouse last January.
