Nina tops at Ballinrobe

Nina Carberry.

Meath woman and 2011 Meath Sportsperson of the Year Nina Carberry made a winning return to action since the birth of her daughter when she was on the mark for trainer Noel Meade in a Ballinrobe bumper yesterday.

Carberry had the steering duties on the Meade-trained Cask Mate which was well supported at the track and returned at 9/4.

"I've had a wonderful nine months and little Rosie arrived — I wouldn't swap that for any winner, but it's good to be back,” she commented in a post-race interview.
