Navan jockey Danny Hand had his third winner today.

Meath theme at Navan today

Local jockey Danny Hand was on the mark today at his local track when he partnered the Gillian Callaghan-trained Mad Brian to victory in the Opportunity handicap Hurdle.

Hand was riding his first winner at Navan and his third in total since turning professional after Christmas.

There was a real Meath theme at Navan with Gordon Elliott claiming back most of the advantage he lost to Willie Mullins at Gowran yesterday.

Elliott had three winners including two of the big races while Denise Foster was on the mark with Miles To Memphis, formerly trained by Alan King.

Cortown jockey Roger Loughran took the Ten Up Novice Chase with Acapella Bourgeois for trainer Sandra Hughes.
