Kilmessan winner and Kiltale winner at Dundalk

It could be the road from Kilmessan to Kiltale that has something to do with it, or maybe it depends on the way the wind is blowing, maybe it's the air or maybe it's none of that?

However, if Matthew Smith in Kilmessan has a winner at Dundalk then it's likely that his neighbour down (or up) the road, Ger Lyons in Kiltale will also have a winner.

So it was in Dundalk last night where the Smith trained Winter Lion scored a seventh career success when landing a handicap under jockey Wayne Lordan in the last.

The Lyons trained Toccata Blue won the claiming race with Colin Keane on board and was duly claimed for €15,000 by trainer John Larkin who used to be based in Trim, but is now based near Dunleer.
