Noble victory pleases Elliott

Gordon Elliott landed the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown today when Davy Russell partnered the Chris Jones-owned Noble Endeavor to victory in the big race that attracted 28 runners.

There was plenty of support for Noble Endeavor from 14/1 to 6/1 and the Dunsany-owned horse won well from the well-backed favourite The Crafty Butcher (11/4) and Oscar Knight (14/1) in third place.

“We were hitting the crossbar all week but they are running well, that’s brilliant for Chris Jones. He’s been a big supporter of the yard and I’m delighted to be able to repay him with a nice winner like this,' commented Elliott.

LIMERICK
The Noel Meade-trained Coquine D’aunou won the mares maiden hurdle at Limerick today after finishing second last time out. The 9/4 chance kept on well under Shane Shortall to beat the odds-on Chambord Du Lys by five lengths.
