First Irish winner since return for Barry Geraghty

Drumree man Barry Geraghty found All The Answers had all the answers for a winning visit to Galway today. After three months on the sidelines through injury the Meath man returned to action with a winner at Chepstow on Saturday.

JP McManus owns All The Answers and Geraghty broke his arm after a fall from the McManus-owned Cernunnos at Market Rasen in July.

Geraghty was expected to return to action at Gowran park a fortnight ago, but waited a little longer.

'My arm is in good enough condition, I was off for 12 weeks and it takes race riding to really get you fit,' he commented in a post-race interview.

NOEL MEADE
The Noel Meade-trained Monksland returned from almost 250 days off the track to win for jockey Sean Flanagan at Galway today and complete a double for the duo who were also on the mark with Le Martalin. Meade completed a treble when Nina Carberry partnered Moulin A Vent to victory in the concluding INH Flat Race.

GORDON ELLIOTT
Davy Russell partnered Diamond King to victory for Gordon Elliott in a beginners chase for the trainer's ninth winner of the month. It moved the Summerhill man on to the 62-winner mark for the season and a clear lead at the top of the table from Willie Mullins (53 winners).
