Peter Casey.

Do you think I'm sexy?

Stamullen trainer Peter Casey basked in the limelight at Leopardstown on Sunday, more for his post-race comments to RTE's Tracey Piggott than for the feat of recording his first grade one win after the Dunsany-owned Flemenstar won the Arkle Novice Chase in fine style for Ashbourne jockey Andrew Lynch. Casey had been interviewed before the race about the chances of Flemenstar and was upbeat about the prospects of success. When interviewed on his way back to the winners' enclosure he enthusiastically commented "I'll have f**king sex tonight and everything," which prompted RTE's Robert Hall into apology mode to viewers. The amusing incident took the attention away from the performance of horse and jockey as Lynch and Flemenstar, which is owned by Stephen Curran, recorded a facile victory in the big chase at the Foxrock track. Flemenstar improved to lead three out before stretching clear of his rivals in the straight and sauntering to an effortless victory. Casey, an avid supporter of the Dublin GAA football team, later confirmed that Cheltenham was not on the radar this year. "We're not going to Cheltenham with him this year, but we might go for the Powers Gold Cup at Fairyhouse instead as Flemenstar likes that soft ground," he stated. See Peter's interview at
