Grey day at Bellewstown

Profile by Conall Collier

Gordon Elliott's Grey Soldier won the Seamus Mulvany Hurdle at Bellewstown today as the trainer completed his third hat-trick in the space of five days.

Grey Soldier will now be aimed at the Galway Hurdle.

Central to the success was the influence of Paul Carberry who rode the three winners, Hamalka in the opening maiden hurdle and Russian War in the third race, also a maiden hurdle.

Elliott and Carberry were also on the mark at Bellewstown on Saturday and the trainer enjoyed two good days at Perth last week.
