Trainer Gordon Elliott made the trip across to Wales today and was on the mark with the aptly-named Meath All Star.

AP McCoy guided the former Willie Mullins-trained Meath All Star to victory over 2m 6f.

Meath All Star won on his debut at Cork in July 2008 and ran next at Cheltenham last year where he trailed home in 11th position behind Dunguib in the Champion Bumper.

The first run for Elliott was at Punchestown last October which was followed by a second place finish at Musselburgh in November.

In only five outings, the seven-year-old has run in Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales and won twice.

Barry Geraghty was also on the mark at Ffos Las when he won a handicap hurdle with Gold Award for Nicky Henderson.
