LISTEN: Meath Hurling legend discusses a proud history and a bright future

Following a torturous week for Meath GAA that saw the footballers exit the race for All-Ireland SFC glory at the first hurdle and the hurlers suffer relegation from the Joe McDonagh Cup we were joined in the TALK A GOOD GAME studio this week by former Meath hurling manager and All-Ireland SHC B winner John Andrews.
As well as looking back at last weekend's disappointments Trim man Andrews looks ahead to the start of the SHC on Friday night and recalls a time when Meath rubbing shoulders with the giants of the hurling game.
On the 25th anniversay of that All-Ireland SHC B success in 1993 Andrews recalls those glory days as well as delving deeper into what it took to win the Chriosty Ring Cup in 2016 and what it meant to him personally as a selector with that team.
A wide, varied and hugeley successful career as a manager and player Andrews has plenty to say on the state of hurling in the county and he isn't afraid to speak his mind. Click on the link below to hear the full interview.
