Meath u-20 manager Brian Farrell on duty in Aughrim this evening

Farrell's u-20s open with a resounding Leinster win in Aughrim

Nobber's Brian Farrell made a good start to his role as Meath u-20 manager when his team recorded a solid 6-16 to 1-9 Leinster u-20 FC victory against Wicklow at Aughrim this evening.

Meath were ahead by 4-8 to 1-4 at the interval with the goals coming from Sean Reilly (two), Sean Ryan and Conor Moriarty.

Adam McDermott produced an excellent penalty save soon after the mid-point of the second-half as Meath forged into a 5-12 to 1-7 lead in the closing stages when Darragh Campion found the net.
