Meath hurlers will play Carlow in Trim on Sunday.

Hurlers match switched to Trim

Sunday's concluding NHL Div 2A clash between Meath and Carlow will now be played in Trim at 1pm after Pairc Tailteann was deemed unable to handle a double-header with the Meath footballers NFL Div 2 clash.
following their drubbing by Kerry in Tralee a fortnight ago Meath will be hoping to finish their campaign with a positive performance against a Carlow side who are still in the hunt for promotion to Div 1B.
Meath's victories over Kildare and London in the first two rounds ensured their Div 2A status, but the positivey of the narrow one-point loss to Westmeath was completely wiped out by the poor display against Kerry and now manager Nick Fitzgerald will be hoping hios side can bounce back ahead of the start of the Joe McDonagh Cup against Antrim on 5th/6th May.
“There is a point to prove now. We have to get back on the horse and we have to turn around from this. We have to get the mindset right and make sure that we are not going into the Joe McDonagh on the back of two heavy defeats," Fitzgerald told the Meath Chronicle after the game against Kerry.
“That was a heavy defeat today, but we will assess it during the week and look to turn it around against Carlow and we will look to get some sort of a result against Carlow".
