Meath GAA masterplan unveiled

Meath GAA's Competitions Control Committee (CCC) unveiled their fixtures master plan for up until the end of July with two rounds of the Football Championships scheduled for April and the third round penciled in for the end of July.
Under instruction from the Croke Park authorities April has been designated an 'inter-county free' month and Meath will start their football championships with round one fixed for Sunday 8th April and concluded the following Friday 13th and Saturday 14th April.
The second round of football championship fixtures are planned for the weekends of the 22nd and 29th April.
With Joe McDonagh Cup Hurling Championship games fixed for May and June the Meath SHC is due for a mid-June start with the opening rounds pencilled in for the weekend of 17th June and the second round provisionally fixed for the weekend of 1st July if Meath do not reach the Joe McDonagh Cup final.
The third round of the Meath SHC has been fixed for the weekend of 15th July.
