Former Louth manager Colin Kelly has used his local knowledge of Dundalk FC to appoint Bohermeen man Gary Rogers as goalkeeping coach with Westmeath senior footballers.
Kelly, who took up the Westmeath position after stepping away from Louth earlier this year, has turned to Rogers who used to work with the Cavan goalkeepers in a bid to improve the players vyibng for the number one role in the Lake county.
Rogers played football with the St Ultan's and Meath, but his undoubted goalkeeping ability has made his a much valued soccer player with Shelbourne, Drogheda United, Dublin City, Bray Wanderers, Galway United, St Patrick's Athletic, Sligo Rovers and currently Dundalk where he won three league titles in a row.
