GAA delegates set to elect new chairman at convention

Meath GAA Co Board delegates will elect a new chairman at next month's annual convention on Monday 11th December at the Navan O'Mahonys clubhouse.

Outgoing chairman Conor Tormey is obliged to step down after completing five years in the role and three contenders will bid for support at the convention - Peter O'Halloran, the current vice-chairman, Eamonn Barry from the Walterstown club and outgoing secretary Francis Flynn who will also vacate his role under the five-year rule.

Outgoing PRO Martin O'Halloran, who was elected Leinster PRO earlier this year, is running for a number of positions that include secretary, assistant secretary and Oifigeach na Gaeilge.

Former PROs Anne McDonnell and Brendan Cummins are among two of four candidates for the role of PRO that O'Halloran will vacate.
