Nobber's Brian Meade comes under pressure from a St Michael's player during today's IFC semi-final.

Dominant St Michael's march into final

There was no stopping St Michael's as they put in a power-packed display to defeat Nobber 3-14 to 1-9 in the first of this weekend's IFC semi-finals at Pairc Tailteann today.

The defeat was even more comprehensive than the scoreline suggests as St Michael's poured forward in seach of scores. Nobber also finished the game with 14 men after Alan Farrell was sent off in the closing stages.

St Michael's led 1-6 to 0-6 at the interval with the help of an Oran Meehan goal as they recovered from a slow start to take a grip on the game.

In the second-half St Michael's really stepped on the gas and two more, well-worked goals from Ciaran Lynch and David Lynch left no doubt as to who would be progressing to the final.

Nobber did eke out a late goal when Niall Farrell flashed the ball to the net but it proved to be no more than a consolation.
