Wexford star to appear on information day

Wexford hurling star Lee Chin will be the guest of honour at an event at St Michael's GAA ground, Carlanstown on Saturday, 30th September as part of an initiative to see what interest there is in hurling for youngsters in the north Meath area. There is as yet no plans to form a team or a hurling club.

The event will take place from 11am to 3pm and those who show up will have an opportunity to have their photograph taken with Chin, who helped Wexford to a famous victory over Kilkennny in the Leinster SHC earlier this year.

The organisers also add that youngsters in attendance can try out the "hurling skills cage" and have their "photo taken with the Liam MacCarthy and Sam Maguire cups."

The event is part of a drive to see what interest there is in hurling for youngsters in the Carlanstown, Nobber, Moynalty and Kilmainhamwood area.
