Meath to face Dublin in Drogheda

Following last night's four-point victory over Kildare at Newbridge in the semi-final of the Leinster u-17 Special FC Meath will play Dublin in the decider at Drogheda on Saturday at 1.30pm.

Meath defeated Dublin in the first round of the competition (1-15 to 1-10) but the back door route for the Dubs has now set up another Meath v Dublin encounter.

Dublin beat Laois in the other semi-final by 1-16 to 1-14 last night with corner forward Ciaran Archer scoring 1-9 at O'Moore Park.

This will be tough on Meath supporters as the Meath JFC team will be playing Kilkenny in the All-Ireland JFC semi-final at Nowlan Park on Saturday at 3pm and many supporters would like to see both games.

LEINSTER CLUB

The draws for the Leinster Club championships were made tonight in Portlaoise.

The Meath senior football champions will travel to play the Wexford champions in a quarter final.
