Meath win well in Ballina

Meath made a winning trip to Ballina today for the first time where they recorded an important 2-18 to 0-15 victory against Mayo in the NHL Div 2B.

Meath were ahead by 1-10 to 0-7 at the interval with the goal arriving from Kevin Keena in the 15th minute as Mayo produced a
battling performance.

Meath kept a tight grip on the game in the second-half and picked off some good points before Trim's Neil Heffernan found the net for a second goal on the stroke of full-time.

Meath will be back in action on Thursday night when they tackle Roscommon in a re-fixture at Ashbourne at 7.45pm.
