Title for Dunshaughlin Community College

Dunshaughlin Community College won their first North Leinster Senior Football B championship title when they overcame Gallen CS, Ferbane, the reigning All-Ireland champions, by 3-10 to 1-15 in Mullingar yesterday.

This was a pulsating encounter with the winner in doubt right up to the final whistle.

Dunshaughlin seemed to be in trouble when they lost Ross McQuillan to a second yellow card with the teams tied with 10 minutes to go, but they fashioned a winning Matthew Costello point to take the title.
