Camogie chairman Christy Mangan welcomed her to the presentation ceremony and outlined briefly the progress that Meath camogie had made in the past decade rising from the depths of Div 4 to playing in Div 1 next year starting in February.

'We got a manager of the calibre of John Davis on board and that was a big factor as we started to make progress,' commented the chairman who congratulated all the players on their fine achievements this year.

McCrystal also congratulated the girls and gave a brief outline of how she achieved her success with her partner Katie Georga Dunlevy.

Meath won the Div 2 League title last April with a 1-10 to 2-3 victory against Galway at Birr and then they added the Leinster Intermediate Champioship with a 2-11 to 0-6 win against Carlow.
