Kilmessan edged out in camogie final

Kilmessan's journey in the Leinster Junior Camogie Championshipm ended today in Edenderry when they were beaten in the final by Johnstownbridge who won a 1-13 to 0-10 scoreline.

The Kilmessan girls made a brave bid to claim the provincial title and were well
in contention as they trailed by the minimum (0-3 to 0-4) at the end of the opening quarter.

However, Johnstownbridge found the next for a crucial goal before the break and that gave them a 1-6 to 0-4 interval advantage.

Johnstownbridge did enough to maintain their advantage in the second-half.
