Sensational IFC final ends in a draw

There was a sensational start to the IFC final today when Graham Reilly of St Colmcille's was red-carded by referee David Coldrick. The finish was also sensational as Luke Martyn fired over an equalising point for Dunderry as the sides finished at 0-12 each. The replay will take place next Saturday at 4pm in Navan.

Dunderry were ahead from a Conor Farrell point at that stage, but against the wind they trailed by 0-4 to 0-6 at the interval after Stephen Coogan added the extras.

Wind-assisted St Colmcille's did enough to merit a two-point interval advantage despite the numerical disadvantage as Ben Brennan and James Conlon anaged a brace apiece with Ciaran Kelly (free) and David O'Byrne also on target.

However, Dunderry were smartly out of the traps for the second-half and forged into the lead as Patrick Kennelly, Luke Martyn and Coogan sent over, but St Colmcille's replied with O'Byrne and Conlon on the mark.

Mark Kane had Dunderry on terms by the end of the third-quarter (0-9 each) and the point-for-point pattern continued for the remiander with Ciaran Kelly (two) and Conlon for Colmcille's countered by Farrell, Declan Mahon and Luke Martyn for Dunderry.
