Ballinlough lose - Kiltale unable to field

Duleek/Bellewstown gave themselves a major boost last night when they won the first game in the SFC relegation play-off series with a 0-11 to 1-6 victory over Ballinlough while Kiltale minor hurlers concede walkover for Dunganny final.

The Ballinlough players will now have to focus on their last chance for senior survival when they tackle Wolfe Tones next Friday night in the SFC Relegation Play-Off Game 2 at Carlanstown at 8pm.

Also last night, Summerhill qualified for the A FL Div 1 final where they will play Donaghmore / Ashbourne - a date has yet to be fixed for that game.

Curraha will play in A FL Div 2 next year after they won the Div 2 / Div 3 prom/rel play-off against Trim - that result sends Trim down to Div 3.

Moynalvey won the B FL Div 3 final against Oldcastle.

KILTALE
Also, in hurling, KIltale conceded a walkover to Ratoath in the Minor Shield final - apparently (although it is not confirmed) Kiltale sought a change of date from this week,end but it was not granted.

The official word from the Co Board is

Minor Hurling Div 1 Shield Final Kiltale v Ratoath fixed for Sunday 16/10/16 in Dunganny, will not take place as Kiltale cannot field. (Ratoath are deemed Winners)
