Longwood erase relegation worries with sensational comeback

Longwood completed a sensational comeback to defeat Navan O'Mahonys 0-22 to 3-11 in the SHC at Athboy this evening.

At the break O'Mahonys led by 3-6 to 0-6 and looked to be cruising to an easy victory with Jack Walshe, Dermot McKenna and John Foley finding the net for them.

O'Mahonys, however, lost their way in the second-half and failed to score from the 75th minute on.

Instead Longwood took control and with Ryan Moore bagging six points and Anthony Healy clipping over seven points they powered their way to a memorable victory that greatly relieves their relegation concerns.
