Dominant Dunboyne clock up big win against Clann's men

Apart from a very brief spell in the opening half Dunboyne led all the way and ended up clocking up a huge score (5-24 to 1-10)  against Clann na nGael in the SHC at Kilmessan this evening.

This was a real score-fest for Dunboyne who simply had to win here to sustain their ambitions with Sean Quigley and Ger Murphy leading the charge.

Quigley helped himself to 2-8 while Murphy capped a fine display with 2-5 while Jack Cox also found the net for the team now managed by John Watters and Stephen Reilly who have replaced the departed Johnny Gorry.

The contest was as good as over at the interval when Dunboyne led 3-10 to 0-6 and they continued to steadily tag on the scores in the second-half.

Clann na nGael had fine performances from Gary Mangan and Eamonn O Donnchadha who grabbed their only goal after the break with a fine finish.

With four defeats from four outings they face a real battle to hold onto their senior status while Dunboyne are at least back on course after an unsteady start to their campaign.
