WATCH: Pretty good car washers at Kilberry

Wolfe Tones Ladies GAA players are fundraising today with a car wash initiative at Kilberry Service Station until 5pm this evening and the first customer was Meath Chronicle sports editor Conall Collier who had his car washed.

The trio on duty (see video) for the 9am start were team captain Jenny Goodwin, veteran forward Sinead Blaney and talented young player Chloe McKeever and they were joined when the job was done (predictably) by sisters Niamh and Michelle O'Connor.

It is understood that team managers Dary Hutchison and Eamonn Hubble went through the tactics at a special training session last night and they will demonstrate the correct procedure this evening at approx 4.59pm.

The event is an important fundraiser for the ladies team and the fee per wash is €6 which also includes any amount of banter in relation to the prospects of the team in the forthconing Junior B semi-final.

The team sponsor is Kilberry Service Station and thay have provided the facilities for the girls today.

The message is clear - come on down to Kilberry for some banter and you might even get your car washed after you hand over the fee - there is also a raffle. Finishing time is 5pm.
