Kiltale ease past Dunboyne

Kiltale recorded an easier-than-expected 2-19 to 2-11 second round SHC victory over Dunboyne at Páirc Tailteann this evening.

Kiltale laid the foundations for success with a devastating first-half performance that saw them take a 2-10 to 0-5 interval advantage with the goals coming from Fergal McCabe and Ross Ryan.

Dunboyne just didn't look interested in that opening half, but they improved after the resumption and while they were never in danger of winning, they were rewarded with a late flourish on the scoreboard.

Neil Hackett scored 1-8 for Dunboyne including one of the late goals while Paul Fagan also found the net.

Next up for Dunboyne is a trip to KIlmessan this weekend to play Blackhall Gaels while Kiltale will face Boardsmill
