Winning start for Kildalkey

Kildalkey got their Jubilee Cup SHC campaign off to a winning start when they negotiated Trim by 1-22 to 1-14 in a first round tie at Páirc Tailteann this evening.

Kildalkey were ahead by 0-15 to 1-5 at the interval and they survived a spirited second-half rally from Trim as James Toher helped himself to 10 points, seven in that second-half.

Martin Healy claimed a crucial goal for Kildalkey soon after the resumption while Conor Kearney was the top scorer with five pointed frees and two from play.
