Sad passing of Teresa Davis

Meath GAA officials, players and supporters will be saddened to hear of the passing this morning of Teresa Davis, wife of Meath camogie team manager and former Meath hurling manager John Davis.

The late Mrs Davis will be reposing at the family home in Dunshaughlin from 4pm to 8pm tomorrow (Friday) evening and the funeral will take place on Saturday.

The Meath camogie team is set to play Down in the All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship in the curtainraiser to the replay of the Christy Ring Cup final between Meath and Antrim at Croke Park on Saturday.

That game will go ahead in compliance with the wishes of John Davis.

The selectors - Christy Mangan, GT Troy, Teresa Clince and Katie Mullen - will look after the team on Saturday.
