Work continues on pairc tailteann lights

Delegates at next week's Meath GAA Co Board meeting in Kilmessan will be looking forward to an update on the situation regarding the floodlights at Pairc Tailteann in Navan where work is continuing to resolve the safety problems with the pylons.

The work is continuing this week and yesterday the remaining pylon beside the stand was taken down.

'This is ongoing remedial work as part of getting the problem solved,' commented a spokesperson for Meath Co Board.

A geo-physical survey was carried out last month to assess the condition of the foundations.

The cost, which could be substantial, of completing the repairs and re-instating the lights has yet to be finalised.
