Dominant dunboyne cast longwood aside

With the help of goals from Neil Hackett and Sean McGrath Dunboyne powered their way to a deserved 2-18 to 0-10 victory over Longwood in the SHC at Trim this evening.

Hackett was in excellent form for Johnny Gorry's side racking up a personal tally of 1-8 including one memorable point from out near the sideline.

Longwood's forgettable evening was completed just before the final whistle when Damien Healy was sent off after he picked up a second yellow card.

McGrath's goal was grabbed in the closing stages and it was a well-taken score with the sliotar despatched low to the net.

Stephen Moran and Niall Smyth were also prominent for Dunboyne in the scoring front.

At the break Dunboyne led 0-9 to 0-7 and they moved up a gear in the second-half to win comfortably.

Mark Lynch, Karl Ennis, Ryan Moore and Healy fired over points for Longwood but they needed more to trouble dominant Dunboyne.
