Stephen Bray was in fine form against Seneschalstown in the Meath SFC tonight.

Omahonys open defence in style

Navan O'Mahonys got the defence of their Keegan Cup off to the perfect start with a comfortable 2-17 to 2-5 win over Seneschalstown at Pairc Tailteann tonight.

Davy Nelson's charges were stunned by the concession of a first minute penalty which Brian Sheridan brilliantly converted, but by the 13th minute O'Mahonyswere ahead and they didn't trail again as Stephen Bray's goal gave them a 1-9 to 1-3 interval cushion.

Brian Sheridan did pull another goal back in the opening minutes of the second period, but when substitute Kevin Reilly netted from close range it ensured no late slip up from the favourites as they continue their bid to become only the third side in 25 years to retain the Keegan Cup
