Wallace returns for meath

Eamon Wallace will make his first start for Meath seniors since the NFL Div 2 loss to Armagh on Saturday 1st March 2014 when he lines out in the half-forward line for Saturday’s NFL Div 2 clash with Westmeath at Páirc Táilteann, 7.0.
Wallace injured his cruciate knee ligament in the Leinster u-21 FC quarter-final replay win over Louth two weeks after his last start for the senior side and he didn’t feature in any of Meath’s championship games in 2014.
The Ratoath man made a brief cameo in the NFL Div 2 win over Kildare four weeks ago and started last Wednesday’s Leinster u-21 FC quarter-final win over Westmeath scoing a crucial goal in the 1-10 to 1-8 win.
Eamon Wallace’s return is one of two changes from the team that defeated Kildare in the last round. Harry Rooney missed Wednesday’s Leinster u-21 FC win over Westmeath and will also miss Saturday’s gamne with Andy Tormey moving to partner Adam Flanagan at midfield and Eamon Wallace coming in at wing-forward.
The other change from the Kildare game sees Eamon Wallace’s younger brother Joey drop to the bench with Ballinabrackey’s Damien Carroll coming in to replace him.
Carroll was expected to start last week’s postponed game against Roscommon in place of Joey Wallace.

Tickets for Saturday night's game are available from SuperValu stores throughout the county and from Jack Kiernan's Navan until midnight tonight (Friday). Tickets are €10, which is a saving of €5.
