All oneway traffic as meath trounce longford

It was Meath all they way as they racked up a 3-24 to 0-12 victory over Longford in the Kehoe Cup at Trim today.

The Meath goals were scored by Alan Douglas, Gary Kelly and Anthony Healy. The topscorer for the home side was Healy who finished up with 1-6.

At the break it was obvious that Meath were going to win by the proverbial landslide as they already led 2-13 to 0-5.

The Royal County now face Wicklow in the Kehoe Cup final next weekend but today's game did have a downside for the winners as Douglas was red carded shortly before the end.

The previous week another Trim player, James Toher, was also sent off against Louth.

Meath manager Martin Ennis is unlikely to have found out much more about his players today than he already knew as Longford offered only limited resistence to the relentless home attacks.
