Five changes for meath

The Meath team to face Galway in tomorrow’s NFL Div 2 opener shows five changes from the side that lost out narrowly to Dublin in the O’Byrne Cup semi-final two weeks ago.
In come Mickey Burke, Padraic Harnan, Andy Tormey, Bryan McMahon and Mickey Newman, while Davy Dalton, Nicky Judge, Sean Tobin, Jamie Queeney and Ruairi O’Dowd all miss out.
Manager Mick O’Dowd has handed first league starts to Ratoath’s Conor McGill, who will replace the injured Kevin Reilly at full-back, and to Skryne’s Harry Rooney, who gets another chance to impress following a fruitful O’Byrne Cup campaign.
Harnan and McMahon will be making their first appearances of the year for Meath having competed in the O’Byrne Cup for their college sides.

Meath - Patrick O’Rourke; Donncha Tobin, Conor McGill, Mickey Burke; Pádraic Harnan, Donal Keogan, Bryan Menton; Harry Rooney, Adam Flanagan; Graham Reilly, Stephen Bray, Andy Tormey; Bryan McMahon, Michael Newman, Joey Wallace.
