Meath lose to kerry in hastings cup

Meath completed their Hastings Cup campaign this afternoon when they tackled Kerry in a third round game at Thurles. There was no joy again for Sean Barry’s side as they lost for the third successive week with kerry winning by 5-9 to 0-8.

All the goals arrived in the opening half with Kerry building up a 3-4 to 0-5 interval advantage.

In the other game in the group, Roscommon defeated Cavan by 1-12 to 0-7 in Drumlane.

Those results mean that Roscommon finish top on scoring difference and qualify for the Cup semi-finals while Kerry will contest the Shield.

Meath’s next competitive game will be against Westmeath in the Leinster u-21 FC on Wednesday 4th March at Páirc Táilteann.
