Keogan to lead the royal county in 2015

Rathkenny clubman Donal Keogan has been appointed captain of the Meath team and he will lead the Royal County in 2015 with the first official game scheduled in just over four weeks time.

Keogan has produced ultra-consistent performances for Meath this year and played in 13 of the 16 games this year. He takes over from Kevin Reilly who is currently on the recovery list from injury.

He also captained Meath in the final game of 2014 when they took on Armagh in the All-Ireland SFC qualifier at Croke Park on Saturday 2nd August last.

Keogan's first duty as captain will be to lead the team out for the O'Byrne Cup game against Westmeath on Sunday 4th January.
