Ratoath prove too strong for omahonys in u21 showdown

Rataoth claimed their second successive u-21 FC when they defeated Navan O'Mahonys 1-13 to 1-8 at Pairc Tailteann this evening.

Fergal Power's team led from start to finish building on a bright opening spell to go in front 1-9 to 0-3 at the interval.

Bryan McMahon showed the way for Ratoath with seven points, three from play over the hour.

McMahon & Co played some excellent football and made less errors than their opponents who time and again gave the ball away. Mark Daly scored Ratoath's goal, finishing off a fine move.

O'Mahonys had a poor first-half and while they improved considerably in the second-half and added a goal from a well-hit Dylan Regan penalty they were unable to catch their in-form opponents.
