U21 title for trim footballers

Trim captured the u-21 A FC title following a high-scoring encounter against Wolfe Tones in Navan today, but they needed extra-time to get the verdict by 3-19 to 5-12.

 It was end to end stuff throughout the 80 minutes and after 39 scores just a point separated the sides.

The honour of the winning score fell to outstanding Trim full forward James Cullen who popped the ball over the bar

Wolfe Tones did have a late chance to force a replay, but Thomas O’Reilly, who scored nine points, was off target froma  free.

Jim Mullery presented the Larry Kearns Cup to winning captain James Toher.
