Some meath supporters not in touch with reality

Meath GAA tweeted information about a challenge game this evening between Meath and Kildare in Kilcock at 7.45 and manager Mick O'Dowd will select his team from players who did not feature in the championship this year.

Sounds like a reasonable approach in an effort to assess players as plans for 2015 continue to shape up.

The Kildare team is one selected by the local (Kildare) media apparently as a reaction, possibly, to reports and opinions on their county team locally.

There was a similar promotion in Meath for a number of years through the Meath Green Stars although that was conducted in conjunction with the Co Board.

However, the information about tonight's game attracted a number of anonymous (and predictable) comments on social media.

See comment below from someone who is probably quite well balanced (a chip on each shoulder) and quite happy to snipe behind a cloak of anonymity.

Read it and then laugh because the comments are, for the most part, irrelevant.

What is this person suggesting AS AN ALTERNATIVE -

Would it be any of the following

Change the manager?

Get new players?

Get rid of the Co Board?

Build a new stand in Pairc Tailteann?

Doesn't matter . We are going no where under him.

Three years now but he has the right face with the county board.

God help us .

But you only get what you give.

The fat cats up in navan were too happy to glory in our good days of the 90s and 80s but didn't bother working for the future of meath football or the grass ruts.

All you have to do is look at the state of the ground up there in navan.

And the stand.

We can't even have supporters at the back of the goals.

Still grass this day and age.

They put all there money in some training ground on the navan trim road.

And all they can go on about is some panel micko is putting together.

And we know it's going be the same shit again next year.

Because hes there because he has the right face and don't cost any thing. Passionless that's meath football now . God help us
